Photographer charged with rape

Detectives assigned to the St James Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse charged 55-year-old St James man with attempted rape and grievous sexual assault following an incident on Fish Lane, Montego Bay, on October 1.

Reports are that at about 10:30 a.m., the photographer was at a photo studio where a woman came to use the bathroom. After she finished using the facility and was in the process of making her way out, the photographer tried to prevent her from leaving. He then proceeded to sexually assault her.

A report was made to the police, and the photographer was taken into custody after being pointed out to the police. He was later charged. His court date is being finalised.
