Cops hunt killers of farmer stabbed on Ash Wednesday
Police have launched a manhunt for the person or persons responsible for the stabbing death of a St Thomas farmer on Ash Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as 40 year old Ethan Whitter of Fort Leith Hall District, St Thomas.
Reports are that about 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, Whitter was along Leith Hall Road in the parish when residents stumbled upon his body and summoned the police.
Upon arrival, officers found Whitter with what appeared to be stab wounds. He was assisted to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch has since launched a probe into the matter.
